Alex Honnold

Adventure Rock Climber
Charity: The Honnold Foundation

Alex Honnold is one of the most famous and most followed rock climbers in the world as documented by National Geographic in Free Solo, which won an Academy Award. He is best known for his ropeless ascents of some of the world's biggest rock walls. As a matter of principle and practicality, Alex lives as simply as possible. The Honnold Foundation is an extension of that ethic.

The Honnold Foundation
The Honnold Foundation envisions a world where marginalized communities lead the transition to renewable energy, with the resources they need to adapt and thrive. They believe in solar as a proven, environmentally sound solution to global energy poverty, and award grants to community organizations whose projects are innovative, equity-focused, and have the potential to shift the narrative on what’s possible for energy access worldwide.

HOW IT WORKS

We put our hands together
to do a lot of good

My Hand My Cause captures highly detailed, artistic hand photographs of celebrities. There are notable people from the worlds of Sport, Music, Movies, Art, Medicine, Science and more — people who are leaders in their fields and working to make our world better along the way.

We use these unique photos to raise money by selling high quality, life size prints of each celebrity's hand along with their printed signature and date it was shot. We offer the print in exchange for a $132 donation with the net proceeds going to the charity chosen by, and associated with, that celebrity.
